John Paul Grigsby (GRIGS) is a musician and sound designer who also paints, makes films, and creates critically acclaimed multimedia animations. His works An Introduction to Lucid Dream Exploration—a highly intricate stop-motion animation made entirely on an Etch A Sketch—and Plato’s Allegory in Clay have been featured at film festivals around the world. With roots in traditional hand-drawn and stop-motion animation, Grigsby has recently shifted his focus to cutting-edge digital tools. When he's not on the road playing bass for Gregory Alan Isakov, he’s immersed in PALINGENESIS, an interactive “music video game” that he conceptualized and created.
